Before I Die Contest!

CONTEST CLOSED.
Thanks to all who entered!

Summary
-
Tessa has just months to live. Fighting back against hospital visits, endless tests, drugs with excruciating side-effects, Tessa compiles a list. It's her To Do Before I Die list. And number one is Sex. Released from the constraints of 'normal' life, Tessa tastes new experiences to make her feel alive while her failing body struggles to keep up. Tessa's feelings, her relationships with her father and brother, her estranged mother, her best friend, and her new boyfriend, all are painfully crystallised in the precious weeks before her time finally runs out.

An unflinchingly honest story told in the words of a 16-year-old about what it's like to die of leukemia. Before I Die is a brilliantly crafted novel, heartbreaking yet astonishingly life affirming. This book will appeal to fans of Alice Sebold’s Lovely Bones.

Audrey, Wait! - Robin Benway!

California high school student Audrey Cuttler dumps self-involved Evan, the lead singer of a little band called The Do-Gooders. Evan writes, "Audrey, Wait!," a break-up song that's so good it rockets up the billboard charts. And Audrey is suddenly famous!

Now rabid fans are invading her school. People is running articles about her arm-warmers. The lead singer of the Lolitas wants her as his muse. (And the Internet is documenting her every move!) Audrey can't hang out with her best friend or get with her new crush without being mobbed by fans and paparazzi.

Take a wild ride with Audrey as she makes headlines, has outrageous amounts of fun, confronts her ex on MTV, and gets the chance to show the world who she really is.

Review-

Okay, so I read this book a quite a while ago, and I must say, Robin Benway really did it for me. This book was hilarious and totally enjoyable. I would SO love to be Audrey. She is probably one of my favorite characters; she's so witty, hilarious, and full of life. Hey, I wouldn't mind having friends like Victoria and Jonah, either! Well, aside from loving the characters, I also enjoyed, well, the WHOLE book! It was such a fun book with a totally unique plot. And because I had read this book a little later than most, I read the paperback. OH MY LORD! I loved, loved, loved the back of the book. It was a super cool idea to have qoutes from reviewers on the back of the book. I will most likely be reading this book again.

Twenty Boy Summer- Sarah Ockler

"Don't worry, Anna.
I'll tell her, okay? Just let me think about the best way to do it."
"Okay."
"Promise me? Promise me you won't say anything?"
"Don't worry." I laughed. "It's our secret, right?"

According to Anna's best friend, Frankie, twenty days in Zanzibar Bay is the perfect opportunity to have a spring fling, and if they meet one boy every day, there's a pretty good chance Anna will find her first summer romance. Anna lightheartedly agrees to to the game, but there's something she hasn't told Frankie- she's already had her romance, and it was with Frankie's older brother, Matt, just before his tragic death one year ago.

Review-

Okay, well the first thing I must say is that this book was awesome! I'm a sucker for sad love stories and Twenty Boy Summer had me crying from the beginning to the end. The book had a great plot and was beautifully written (Props to Sarah.) What I loved the most about the book was how it was written so emotionally and honestly. It could
have, and most likely has, happened to anyone in this world. It explores love, grief, and life. I was SO emotional while reading this book!! This book is now definitely one of my All Time Favorites.
